This course prepares you for the ASTQB® Mobile Testing certification and equips you with skills to test mobile applications effectively. You will learn about mobile platforms, devices, network environments and common challenges that occur when testing mobile software. The course covers both theory and practice, helping you understand how to plan, design and execute tests that ensure high quality across different devices, operating systems and usage conditions.
Throughout the training you work with real-world mobile test scenarios and learn techniques that are specifically tailored for mobile environments. The course covers topics such as mobile architectures, cross-device testing, performance and usability considerations, network characteristics and automation strategies. You will also explore how mobile apps fit into Agile and DevOps practices, ensuring that testing is an integral part of the delivery process. The content follows the ASTQB® Mobile Testing syllabus and prepares you both for certification and practical testing work.

PrerequisitesYou should have basic testing knowledge and some experience with mobile applications or software development to get the most value from this course. Foundation-level testing experience such as ISTQB® Foundation Certificate is recommended but not strictly required.

This section covers planning and designing test approaches for mobile applications, including understanding user contexts, networks and performance considerations.

The course covers how to test performance aspects such as responsiveness, battery usage, memory and network dependency in real mobile scenarios.
You gain insight into usability concerns for mobile users and how to ensure your application works well across different screen sizes, input methods and hardware configurations.
This part of the course covers strategies and tools used for automating mobile tests, including real devices and emulators, and integrating them into CI/CD.

The examination is a closed book, 40-question multiple choice exam. Candidates must score a minimum of 26 to become an ASTQB certified Mobile Testing professional at the Foundation level. Examinations are independently administered.
