The PECB ISO 9001 Lead Implementer is a five-day training course that aims to help you develop the competence necessary to establish, implement, operate, maintain, and continually improve a QMS. This training course aims to equip you with in-depth knowledge on ISO 9001 requirements, as well as the best practices and approaches used for the implementation and subsequent maintenance of a QMS.
By attending this training course, you can help organizations utilize a structured and evidence-based approach for managing the quality of their products and services. Apart from this, you will also learn about the importance of customer focus and benefits of setting the foundations of an organizational culture which enables and supports quality.

The course begins with a presentation of the training objectives and structure. Participants are introduced to ISO, management systems and the ISO 9000 family of standards to establish context.
An introduction to quality and Quality Management Systems based on ISO 9001 provides a solid foundation. The initiation of QMS implementation is explored, including leadership and commitment, development of a quality policy and defining roles, responsibilities and authorities within the organisation.
Day two focuses on planning the implementation of a Quality Management System. Participants analyse the context of the organisation and define the scope of the QMS.
Actions to address risks and opportunities are discussed, along with establishing quality objectives and managing organisational change.
The session also addresses resource allocation and competence requirements to ensure effective implementation.
This day concentrates on the operational aspects of implementing a QMS. Participants explore awareness and communication processes to ensure organisational engagement.
The management of documented information is covered to ensure consistency and traceability.
The course examines requirements for products and services, design and development processes, outsourcing considerations and production and service provision activities.
Monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation mechanisms are addressed to ensure performance and compliance.
Participants learn how to conduct internal audits and management reviews to evaluate system effectiveness.
Nonconformities and corrective actions are examined to ensure structured problem resolution.
Continual improvement processes are explored to strengthen long-term quality performance.
The day concludes with preparation for the certification audit and formal closing of the training programme.
The final day is dedicated to preparation for and completion of the certification examination in accordance with certification body requirements.
After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential. For Virtual courses we will send out a voucher that gives you access to an online exam. This can be booked and taken home monitored by a proctor via camera. More information about the exam rules will be send fromPECB.

As the exam is an Multiple Choice, candidates are authorized to use:
Examination rules and policies
Results will be communicated by email in a period of 6 to 8 weeks, after taking the exam. The results will not include the exact grade of the candidate, only a mention of pass or fail.
Candidates who successfully complete the examination will be able to apply for a certified scheme which is explained in the course description.
In the case of a failure, the results will be accompanied with the list of domains in which the candidate had failed to provide guidance for exams’ retake preparation.
Candidates, who disagree with the exam results, may file a complaint by writing to examination@pecb.com or through PECB ticketing system.
There is no limit on the number of times a candidate may retake an exam. However, there are some limitations in terms of allowed time-frame in between exam retakes, such as:
After the fourth attempt, a waiting period of 12 months from the last session date is required, in order for candidate to sit again for the same exam. Regular fee applies.
For the candidates that fail the exam in the 2nd retake, PECB recommends to attend an official training in order to be better prepared for the exam.
