The course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to audit an AIMS and evaluate conformity with ISO/IEC 42001. You will learn how to plan and conduct audits, assess evidence, communicate findings and follow up on corrective actions.

You will also work with evidence based and risk based auditing, audit test plans, nonconformity reports and the specific requirements and controls defined in ISO/IEC 42001. The course covers both the management system requirements in clauses 4 to 10 and the controls in Annex A.

The training is delivered through the myPECB platform and combines video based learning with course materials, practical exercises and quizzes.

Exam and certification

Exam

After completing the course, you can take the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Auditor exam.

The exam covers seven competency domains, including AIMS principles and requirements, fundamental audit concepts, preparation and conduct of ISO/IEC 42001 audits, closing an audit and management of an audit programme.

Certification

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential.
