The course covers the implementation and ongoing management of a PIMS, from understanding the organisation and defining the scope to privacy risk assessment, selection of controls, monitoring and continual improvement.

You will learn how to interpret the requirements of ISO/IEC 27701 from an implementer’s perspective and how to plan, establish, maintain and improve a PIMS using recognised methods and best practices.

The training is delivered through the myPECB platform and combines video-based learning with course materials, exercises and quizzes.

Exam and certification

Exam

After completing the course, you can take the PECB ISO/IEC 27701 Lead Implementer exam.

The exam covers seven competency domains, including PIMS principles, implementation planning, implementation, monitoring and measurement, continual improvement and preparation for a certification audit.

Certification

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential.
