The course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to audit a Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001. You will learn how to interpret ISO 9001 requirements from an auditor’s perspective, plan and conduct audits, collect and verify evidence and evaluate conformity.

You will also work with evidence based and risk based auditing, audit test plans, nonconformity reports and corrective action plans. The course covers the complete audit process, from initiation and preparation to reporting, follow up and management of an internal audit programme.

The training is delivered through the myPECB platform and combines video based learning with course materials, a case study, exercises and quizzes.

Exam and certification

Exam

After completing the course, you can take the PECB Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor exam.

The exam covers seven competency domains, including QMS principles and requirements, fundamental audit concepts, preparation and conduct of ISO 9001 audits, closing an audit and management of an ISO 9001 audit programme.

Certification

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential.
