The course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to audit a Business Continuity Management System in accordance with ISO 22301. You will learn how to plan and conduct audits, evaluate conformity, collect and assess audit evidence and communicate findings to relevant parties.

You will also work with evidence based and risk based auditing, audit test plans, nonconformity reports, corrective action plans and the management of an internal audit programme. The course covers both internal and certification audits and prepares you to lead audit teams and manage the audit process from preparation through completion and follow up.

The training is delivered through the myPECB platform and combines video based learning with course materials, exercises and quizzes.

Exam and certification

Exam

After completing the course, you can take the PECB Certified ISO 22301 Lead Auditor exam.

The exam covers seven competency domains, including BCMS principles and requirements, fundamental audit concepts, preparation and conduct of ISO 22301 audits, closing an audit and management of an ISO 22301 audit programme.

Certification

After successfully completing the exam, you can apply for the credentials shown on the table below. You will receive a certificate once you comply with all the requirements related to the selected credential.
