The PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner course aims to combine the PRINCE2 methodology with agile methods and frameworks. PRINCE2 Agile builds on the PRINCE2 methodology and demonstrates how agile techniques can make project execution both simpler and more flexible. In this way, PRINCE2 Agile offers the perfect combination of full control and flexibility.

The course is ideal for all forward-thinking modern companies that want to manage their projects using the PRINCE2 methodology, but also wish to apply agile methods when needed.

Target Group:

Anyone working in projects who has a PRINCE2 background or aims to acquire one.

Prerequisites:

To take the exam, you must have passed one of the following certifications:

  • PRINCE2 Agile Foundation (Version 1), or
  • PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner (Version 1), or
  • PRINCE2 Agile Foundation (Version 2)

Course material:

All course material will be delivered digital and consist of:

  • Course material with slide sett
  • Notebook with sample exams
  • Official PRINCE2 Agile manual
  • PodCast which sums up the highlights per day

How to take the exam:

Regular classroom courses:

Paperbased exam at the end of the last course day

Virtual courses:

You will get an exam voucher that gives you access to an online exam. This can be booked and taken home monitored by a proctor via camera.

The trainer will also guide you through the procedures on how to book and prepare for the exam during the course

For both alternatives:

If you fail on your first attempt you receive a free online retake voucher. This can only be conducted online.

Module 1: Introduction to PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner

Module 2: Agile mindset, project management, and organizational change management

  • explain the benefits of adopting an agile mindset, differentiating between ‘being agile’ and ‘doing agile’
  • apply key characteristics of the agile mindset
  • understand and apply PRINCE2 Agile principles in project performance areas
  • describe the importance of organizational change management and key considerations for building and leading successful agile teams.

Module 3: The PRINCE2 Agile practices and their application

  • understand how PRINCE2 Project Management practices are tailored for an agile context
  • apply agile artifacts and techniques in project planning and execution
  • analyse the effectiveness of approaches to applying PRINCE2 Agile practices and roles, ensuring they are fit for purpose
  • demonstrate the ability to integrate agile roles into PRINCE2 Project Management structures

Module 4: The PRINCE2 Agile processes and their application

  • apply the processes demonstrating an understanding of process activities, associated workshops and artifacts in an agile context
  • analyse whether the processes are effectively tailored and fit for purpose in an agile context, taking into consideration: activities, associated workshops, and artifacts.

Module 5: The application of PRINCE2 Agile in the wider context

  • apply PRINCE2 Agile within agile product management
  • apply PRINCE2 Agile guidance when transitioning from agile projects to operations
  • apply PRINCE2 Agile guidance during continuous agile development and operations
  • understand how AI can support PRINCE2 Agile elements.

Exam

About the exam :

  • Examination Format: Objective testing
  • 50 questions each worth one mark
  • 30 marks or more required to pass out of 50 questions: 60% pass mark
  • Two-and-a-half hours’ (150 minutes) duration
  • Extra time (38 min) for non-natives English speakers
  • Open book exam. Only the official printed hard copy of the PRINCE2 Agile® Guidance is allowed.
