Certified Agile Facilitator

The Certified Agile Facilitator (CAF) program is to grow participants’ mindset, knowledge and ability in the area of professional facilitation. Effectively facilitating a group or team toward co-created, meaningful and committed outcomes is a core agile coaching competency as well as a skill necessary for effective leadership.

The CAF program supports the growth of participants and helps with challenges from real working environments. While participants advances their facilitation skills, participants also support their teams and organizations to advance.

The Certified Facilitator does not require prior learning. For anybody who doesn’t understand Agile and Scrum, some preparation work has to be done to work with facilitation in an Agile context.

Commitments

  • Preparation before the workshop requires approximately 60 minutes on average
  • 2 full-day workshop or 3 half-day workshop with full engagements and practices in workshops
  • Practices and follow up – for those who are interested in designing facilitation plans and practice, you can come back for a follow-up session or ask for feedback about your facilitation plans, to further enhance facilitation practice, build insights, tackle challenges, and further advance.

Evelyn Tian is an experienced coach, trainer, and international keynote speaker with a deep passion for enabling organizational growth and driving product excellence. She is among the very few worldwide who hold the combined credentials of Certified Enterprise Coach, Certified Team Coach, Certified Scrum Trainer, and Advanced Certified Mentor Coach.

Dedicated to supporting both individuals and organizations in reaching the next level, Evelyn has mentored agile practitioners from more than 80 countries (as of November 2023). She actively contributes to the global community through free monthly coaching clinics and international networking events.

Certification:

This course provides the opportunity to earn the Certified Agile Facilitator (CAF) certification, approved by Scrum Alliance.

There is no formal exam for this certification. Participants achieve the CAF credential by actively completing all components of the course, which includes a minimum of 16 hours of instructor-led learning.

Upon successful completion, your instructor will register you with Scrum Alliance, and you will officially receive the Certified Agile Facilitator title in your Scrum Alliance profile.

The course hours can also be applied as Scrum Education Units (SEUs) toward maintaining or renewing other Scrum Alliance certifications.
