PRINCE2® 7 Practitioner extends your knowledge and understanding to enable you to apply and tailor the PRINCE2® project management method.

PRINCE2 Practitioner is the advanced level of the PRINCE2 methodology and focuses on how to apply principles, practices and processes in real project scenarios.

The course builds on the Foundation level and helps participants understand how to tailor PRINCE2 to different types of projects and organisational contexts. It emphasises scenario-based learning and practical application rather than theory alone.

A strong focus is placed on exam preparation, including techniques, practice exams and guidance on how to approach scenario-based questions effectively.

To take the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination you must provide proof of having passed one of the following:

All course material will be delivered digital and consist of:

Day 1 – Introduction and exam preparation

The first day introduces the Practitioner level and the structure of the exam. Participants learn how to approach scenario-based questions and how to use the PRINCE2 manual effectively during the exam.

The day includes practice exams and preparation exercises to build confidence.

Students will also be given a homework assignment to complete a sample exam before the next day.

Day 2 – Practice and exam

The second day focuses on reviewing the sample exam and reinforcing exam techniques. Participants work through practice questions and refine their approach to handling time and complexity.

The course concludes with the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam.

About the exam:

  • Objective testing
  • 70 questions per paper
  • 42 marks or more required to pass (out of 68 available): approximately 60%
  • Two-and-a-half hours’ (150 minutes) duration
  • Extra time (38 min) for non-natives English speakers
  • Open book. Only the official printed hard copy of the PRINCE2® 7 Managing Successful Projects is allowed.

Regular classroom courses:

Paperbased exam at the end of the last course day

Virtual courses:

You will get an exam voucher that gives you access to an online exam. This can be booked and taken home monitored by a proctor via camera.

The trainer will also guide you through the procedures on how to book and prepare for the exam during the course

For both alternatives:

If you fail on your first attempt you receive a free online retake voucher. This can only be conducted online.
