The course provides an introduction to quality management and the requirements of ISO 9001. You will learn about the different elements of a Quality Management System, including organisational context, leadership, planning, support, operations and performance evaluation.

The course also covers the role of top management, risks and opportunities, quality policies, product and service provision and continual improvement. It provides a foundation for understanding how organisations can use a structured QMS to manage and improve quality.

The training is delivered through the myPECB platform and combines video based learning with course materials, exercises and quizzes.

Training course structure

Exam and certification

Exam

After completing the course, you can take the PECB ISO 9001 Foundation exam.

The exam covers two competency domains:

  • Fundamental concepts and principles of quality management and a QMS based on ISO 9001
  • ISO 9001 requirements for a Quality Management System, clauses 4 to 10

Certification

Upon the successful completion of the exam, you can apply for one of the credentials shown in the table below. You will receive a certificate once you fulfill all the requirements related to the selected credential.
