Check Point Security Master (CCSM)

Important notice: New path towards Check Point Security Master

Due to Check Point`s new Certification model that was launched on 31 January 2021, there is no longer a Check Point Security Master course and exam.

A new certification path has been launched to achieve the Check Point Security Master level:

  • There is no CCSM course and CCSM certification exam
    (the CCSM course was retired 31 December 2020 and CCSM exam will be retired on 31-March-2021)
  • CCSM course is replaced by CCTA and CCTE training courses
  • CCSM certification will be achieved by passing core exams + Infinity Specialist Accreditations (must achieve 2 Infinity Specializations)
  • CCSM must be achieved with an active CCSE (the CCSE cannot be expired)







Check Point Certified Security Master (CCSM) R80.20 course provide an understanding of advanced concepts and skills necessary to manage virtualized security in high-end networks and advanced security optimization techniques.

  • How policy changes impact chain module behavior
  • Identify management issues and problems with commands
  • Use commands to troubleshoot NAT stages
  • Configure Manual NAT to define specific rules
  • Use commands to review and clear connections table
  • Modify files to allow traffic through a specific cluster member
  • Locate the source of encryption failures using commands
  • Use commands to verify VPN connectivity
  • Identify any potentially mis-configured VPNs
  • Tune NIC performance
  • Increase size and improve hardware performance
  • Improve load capacity
  • Tune the firewall rule base
  • Reduce load on Rule Base application
  • Improve network performance
  • Improve logging efficiency
  • Use IPS Bypass to manage performance
  • Deploy IPv6 in a local envrionment
  • Identify differences between VPNs

The participants will obtain certificates signed by Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (course completion). This course additionally helps prepare for CCSM exam #156-115.80 at Pearson VUE.
