Modern Integration Architecture

Modernize your integration platform - to be your digitization platform

A scenario-based training around the modern integration architecture that meets current and future requirements.

Background

The future is all about information sharing between the various technologies such as SaaS, mobile apps, IoT devices and Big Data Analytics must be able to exchange information with systems and applications such as ERP, CRM, Order Management, e-commerce and more. Organizations that find smoother, easier and more efficient way to manage information have more opportunities to create competitive advantages in the market. Your organization may have started using a new SaaS solution, built a new customer portal, started with the connected sensors or maybe identified new services to offer the market, based on the information you have. Regardless of how the digital revolution looks like in your organization, new demands for information exchange and thus a need for systems integration in a more modern way.

What you will learn:

iBiz Solutions offer a two-day training on how to modernize its integration platform to become an enabler for the digital transformation. Learn about the new architectural requirements for a hybrid integration solution. Get an overview of the technical components that are out there to meet these new challenges. Training will be held in a lab-driven environment which means that you will have the opportunity to work very hands-on and then get started in their own environment.

Prerequisites:

To take up this training in the best way, you should have an understanding of traditional integration (EAI) and the platforms and technologies used for these types of solutions. Some knowledge of IT and / or integration architecture is also an advantage as well as a basic knowledge of digitization.

Course outline:

  • Module 1 - architectural requirements of a modern integration platform

The module describes the requirements of a modern integration platform for meeting the needs that arise in connection with digitization. During the training, we also go through a number of patterns of interaction that are relevant and which we will implement as part of the labs and demo.

    Module 2 - Technical components

Review and demo of the technology components that will be used to build the integration pattern as described in module 1, and as will be implemented in the later modules and labs.

    • Logic Apps
    • API Management / Azure Web Sites / Apps APIs
    • Key Vault
    • Eventhub / Service Bus
    • Stream Analytics
    • datafactory
    • SQL Service / Cosmos DB / Table Storage / Blob Storage
    • Options for stable coupling between cloud / on-premise

Lab 1 - Basic set of technical components

A first acquaintance with current techniques where you get the opportunity to set up Logic apps, storage, service bus and Stream Analytics and implement a number of simpler data flows in a cloud-based environment.

  • Module 3 - Scenario: API-based integration

How exposed modern APIs and then communicate down to the traditional platform? What challenges are in design and architecture around reusable APIs?

    • Techniques: API Management, Azure Web Sites / Apps APIs, Logic Apps, Functions, Cosmos DB and Redis Cache

    Module 4 - Scenarios: SaaS / hybrid / EAI

SaaS is an increasingly common way to deliver applications. Even larger systems Dynamics 365 delivered today many times as SaaS platforms. While most organizations have continued a number of systems on-premise with the need for integration to and from the new systems. The module looks at how to integrate existing systems with SaaS solutions and how to use modern technologies in the cloud, combined with traditional integration technologies on-premise.

    • Techniques: BizTalk Server, Logic Apps, funtions, Integration Account

Lab 2 - Traditional EAI integration combined with APIs and cloud-based integration

    Module 5 - Scenario IoT-based integration

Tomorrows integrations will often integrate IoT solutions with existing systems. What components are present? What is the solution patterns like? What challenges are there?

    • Techniques: IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, BizTalk Server, Azure IoT Gateway Event Hub

Lab 3 - IoT based integration

Module 6 - Monitoring and Maintenance

In conjunction with integration solutions become more complex, required monitoring and logging that covers the entire chain. Microsoft Azure offers this opportunity with techniques Application Insight and Operations Management Suite - Module 6 takes a closer look at these.
It is also important to handle the version and release handle all components in a consistent manner to achieve Manageability. The module goes through the techniques and theories to deal with all the technical components in the same building and a release pipeline.

    • Techniques: Application Insight, OMS, VSTS
